Rollo Support

Rollo printers never need ink, toner, or ribbon. The only supply you ever buy is labels, and you can get them (plus other supplies) at rollo.com/shop or from any label brand you like. 

Rollo printers are direct thermal printers. The printhead heats the label, and the label material itself turns black where it is heated. That means:

1. There are no ink cartridges. Nothing to refill.

2. There is no toner. Nothing to replace.

3. There is no ribbon. Nothing to install.

If your prints look faded or spotty, it is never "low ink." It is usually the labels or a dirty printhead. Wipe the printhead with a 70% isopropyl alcohol pad (turn the printer off and let it cool first), try a fresh label from the middle or bottom of the stack, and adjust the print density.

Rollo has two separate stores, and mixing them up is a common source of confusion:

1. Rollo Shop (rollo.com) is where you buy physical products: printers, label rolls, label stacks, and other shipping supplies.

2. Rollo Ship (ship.rollo.com) is where you buy shipping labels (postage) for your packages.

This article covers the Rollo Shop side, meaning physical labels and supplies.

2. Pick your labels. Rollo sells 4x6 shipping labels in rolls and fanfold stacks (for example, a 500 label stack), plus other sizes such as round product labels in several colors.

3. Select all product options (size, color, quantity) before adding to cart.

4. If an item will not add to your cart, log in first at https://www.rollo.com/my-account/ and then open the Shop. Some products can only be added to the cart when you are signed in.

Rollo does not require proprietary labels. You can use any compatible direct thermal labels with your Rollo printer. However, please note that the performance of third-party labels cannot be guaranteed. You can also print shipping labels purchased on other platforms with your Rollo printer.

Unused labels last about 9 to 12 months when stored well. Shelf life varies with label material and storage conditions. Old or dusty labels can cause white spots and faded printing, so keep them clean and dry, and buy quantities you will use within that window.

1. Always use the original Rollo power adapter. A third party adapter may not supply the correct voltage and can cause printing problems.

3. Plug the adapter directly into a wall outlet rather than a power strip.

1. Bulk orders: contact support before ordering large quantities. They can confirm stock and accept a purchase order.

2. Tax exemption: reply to support with a PDF copy of your tax exemption certificate. The team reviews it and sets up the exemption on your account.

3. Receipts for past supply orders: check your order confirmation emails (including spam and trash folders). If you bought through Amazon, the receipt is in your Amazon order history.
