You can print to the Rollo Wireless (X1040) straight from the built-in Print option on an iPhone or iPad, as long as the printer is on the same WiFi network as your device. PDF label files print reliably this way. Photos and image files often do not.
What works
1. Open your label as a PDF on your iPhone or iPad, for example in the Files app.
2. Tap the Share icon, then tap Print.
3. Select your Rollo printer from the printer list.
4. Tap Print. The printer normally detects the correct label size on its own.
What does not work
1. Printing photos or image files (PNG, JPG, screenshots) from the iPhone or iPad print menu
2. The fix is to print the label as a PDF instead. Download the PDF version from your selling channel, or convert the image file to a PDF, then print it.
3. The wired Rollo (X1038) connects by USB, so it will not appear in your phone's print menu on its own. It needs a network connection (such as the Rollo wireless adapter) before phones can see it.
Printer does not show the right label size
If the print menu only offers 4 x 6 or shows the wrong size, calibrate the printer so it learns your labels:
1. Turn off the Rollo using the switch on the back.
2. Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet and wait at least 2 minutes.
3. While waiting, open the printer head, remove the labels, then close the head.
4. Plug the power adapter back in and turn the Rollo on with the back switch.
5. Feed the labels in from the back of the printer.
6. Press and hold the square button until you hear one beep, then release. The labels will move back and forth and stop at the tear off point.
7. Try printing again and check that the correct size appears.
8. Make sure to add the custom paper size on the Rollo app
