Rollo Ship has no monthly subscription and no sign-up fee. You pay carrier postage from your prepaid wallet, plus a small label fee per label after your first 200 labels.

Your first 200 labels have no label fee; you still pay the carrier for postage.

After that it's 5¢ per label, down to 1¢ with Rollo Rewards: 5¢ at Newbie and Basic, 3¢ at Pro, 2¢ at Expert, and 1¢ at VIP.

U.S. accounts pay the label fee in USD; Canadian accounts pay it in CAD.

You don't need a card or a purchase to create an account or compare rates. Fund your wallet by bank transfer (ACH) or card when you are ready to buy a label. Full fee details: Rollo Ship per-label fees explained.

What you pay when you buy a label

Each label has two parts: carrier postage and the Rollo Ship label fee.

PartWho gets itHow it works
Carrier postageThe carrier you choosePaid from your prepaid Rollo Ship Wallet for the service you choose, on every label, including your first 200. Built-in carriers show discounted rates at checkout. FedEx and Purolator are connect-your-own-account: you keep your own account setup and negotiated rates, and you pay for those labels from your prepaid Rollo Ship Wallet.
Rollo Ship label feeRolloNo label fee on your first 200 labels (once per account). This covers every carrier, including FedEx and Purolator labels bought with your own account. After that, the per-label fee applies to them too and follows your Rollo Rewards tier. Your Rewards level when you buy your 201st label sets your fee.
Monthly subscriptionNoneNever. There is no monthly plan and no sign-up fee.

Rollo Ship is not a carrier. Optional extras such as signature confirmation or insurance (declared value) are available on supported services and add to the postage. The price shows at checkout.

How to see your costs in Rollo Ship

Check your costs in three places in the app: Summary, Billing, and Rollo rewards.

  1. Start a shipment with + CREATE QUICK SHIPMENT. On the Summary screen, pick a service and review the totals: Shipping (postage), Taxes & fees, Platform fee (the label fee), and Total. On a new account, Platform fee shows $0.00 while your first 200 labels have no label fee.
  2. Open Billing from the profile menu, or go to ship.rollo.com/billing. New accounts show ROLLO SHIPPING FEE WAIVED — 200 Labels, next to your BALANCE and SAVINGS TO DATE.
  3. Open the Rollo rewards page to see your current level and its per-label fee.
  4. To add funds, click ADD on Billing and choose Bank (3x Rewards points, no fees) or Card (1x Rewards points, higher fees), then Auto-Refill or Single Payment.

Carrier rates and discounts

In the U.S., USPS and UPS are built in. In Canada, UPS and Canada Post are built in. FedEx and Purolator are bring-your-own-account, with your own negotiated rates and no Rollo discount.

CountryBuilt in, with discounted ratesConnect your own account
United StatesUSPS, UPSFedEx
CanadaCanada Post, UPSFedEx, Purolator

You don't need a carrier website account for built-in carriers. FedEx and Purolator rates show once you connect your own account, and you see your own negotiated rates.

Built-in USPS discounts reach up to 90% off USPS retail rates. UPS and Canada Post discounts are listed in the carrier table above. Savings vary by service, weight, dimensions, and zone, and some services carry little or no discount.

Rates vary by weight, dimensions, zone, and service, and can change. A carrier can also re-rate a label after purchase, so the price at checkout is not guaranteed to be final. Preview a package in Rollo Ship or with the shipping calculator.

What doesn't cost extra

  • Creating a Rollo Ship account, and downloading the iOS or Android app.
  • Connecting selling channels and importing orders. Connecting a store does not add a monthly fee.
  • Comparing rates side by side. Comparing rates does not charge postage or a label fee.
  • A Rollo printer is not required. Rollo Ship works with any compatible printer. When you print with a Rollo printer, labels print directly in 4x6 shipping label format.
  • No credit card, contract or purchase required, no minimum or maximum shipping volume, and you don't need a business to create a Rollo Ship account. Registering, downloading the app, comparing rates, connecting stores, importing orders and managing inventory are free.

FAQ

Q: Is Rollo Ship free?

Rollo Ship is free to start, connect stores, compare rates, with $0 fees on your first 200 lifetime labels. There is no monthly subscription and no sign-up fee. Creating an account and comparing rates cost nothing. You pay carrier postage when you buy a label, and a label fee of 5¢ down to 1¢ applies after your first 200 labels.

Q: Are the first 200 labels free?

No, postage is not free. Your first 200 labels have no label fee, but you still pay the carrier for postage on every label.

Q: Do I pay to compare rates?

No. Comparing rates is free and does not require a card. Postage and any label fee are charged only when you buy a label.

Q: Do FedEx and Purolator labels have a label fee?

Yes, after your first 200 labels. Your first 200 labels have no label fee with any carrier, including FedEx and Purolator labels bought with your own account; after that, the per-label fee applies to them too. FedEx and Purolator use your own negotiated rates, with no Rollo discount.

Q: Is the label fee charged in USD or CAD?

It depends on your account country: U.S. accounts pay in USD and Canadian accounts pay in CAD. The cents ladder is the same in both countries.

Q: Can the price change after I buy a label?

Yes. A carrier can re-rate a label after purchase, so the price at checkout is not guaranteed to be final.

Q: Where do I see my current fee tier?

On the Rollo rewards page in Rollo Ship, which shows your current level and its per-label fee. Your Platform fee on the Summary screen shows what you pay for each label.
